Theresa Anderson, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully at home after a valiant and courageous three-year battle with cancer surrounded by family on November 1, 2024, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Theresa was born in Ft Benning, GA, but grew up and spent nearly her entire life in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She graduated from Widefield High School, in Security, Colorado, in 1982, and later completed her associate’s degree prior to entering the home mortgage profession and making that a successful career.
Theresa was an amazingly kind, caring, giving, and compassionate woman, extremely dedicated and loyal to family and friends. She was high-energy, strong spirited with a great sense of humor and an enthusiastic personality that made her unique, lovable and fun. She always went out of her way to support family, friends, customers and the community. She loved her family, friends and her beloved dog, Cooper, tremendously. Theresa enjoyed golfing, working out, hiking and playing cards in her free time. In addition, she loved to watch her Denver Broncos, home improvement and cooking shows, and was a fantastic cook. She worked 30+ years as a mortgage loan advisor, over 20 years at CB&T, cared tremendously about her customers and went above and beyond the call of duty to help them obtain their dream home with unwavering dedication. In spite of her illness, Theresa was strong enough to travel multiple times over the last three years to visit family, which made her extremely happy.
Theresa leaves behind the following family members to cherish her memory - devoted and loving husband, Patrick Windey (Colorado Springs, CO); son and daughter-in-law, Shawn & Alyssa Anderson (Colorado Springs, CO); bonus children Jazzmin Windey-Volk, Cameron Volk (O’Fallon, IL) & Gabby Windey (Los Angeles, CA), and bonus grandchildren – Jack, John and Margrit Volk (O’Fallon, IL), brothers John Cearley (Colorado Springs, CO) and David Cearley (Sharpsburg, GA). Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Cearley whom she loved very much.
A private family celebration of life will be held on 17 Nov 24 in her honor per her wishes. Theresa was an amazing person and will truly be missed.
