Unless someone would like to keep this guest book open for a while longer (I'll wait a few days to see if we have any more entries), I will ask Swan-Law to go ahead and close it out.  I will always miss Dad though I know where he is, and that he's glad to be there...there's still this tiny ache.  I'm sure I'm not alone:  He was a wonderful person in so many ways.  Love you so much Dad!

Ted was a special person and I have thought of him often over the years.

I realize we all come to this stage in our lives but remember the almost 50 years I knew him.  As a supervisor, friend and confidant he was a respected person. We had some very meaningful discussions for situations that occurred during the years when I was the Chief Shop Steward for the Teamsters with some remarkable results.  I can only say that since my retirement almost 14 years ago we have corresponded via email and he kept me entertained with his inputs and humor.  I last saw Ted Colorado while attending a technical school while working at Clear and had supper with him and enjoyed the visit.        David Leavy Clear Alaska

Ted was my supervisor when I arrived at Clear AK in 1978, I have the utmost respect for him.  He will be greatly missed.  My prayers and condolences to his family.  He was a wonderful person.

To Ted's family.  I worked with Ted in Alaska at the BMEWS site.  He was a fine man, one that I admired greatly.  Having been in the Navy myself, we shared our stories and his were always better than mine.  A great email buddy for many years until his vision failed him.  We shared the same values and views of life.  We will miss him.  Gone but not forgotten.  Thanks Ted.

Uncle Wolfie, Bless your heart.  You were such a kind and sweet man to all who knew you.  I know that God has called you home and He is saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant."  Your wonderful daughter, Karen, will continue to carry on the family heritage and tradition of family love as you modeled this example throughout your life.  We are thankful to be a part of this loving family.  Someday, we will connect again in heaven along with many other loved ones.  When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.  Uncle Wolfie, you are such a treasure to each of your family.  You were such a blessing to your sister, Eloise, my mother.  I do appreciate you calling and/or writing her often and you continued to remember our children so much.  That was very kind of you.  Looking through God's Word, in Revelation 2:10, it says, "Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life."  We know that you have received this crown.  Revelation 21:4, it says, "and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain." So sorry to hear of Wolfie's passing. We didn't hear about it until Saturday, August 30th. I (Jim Shehan) reconnected with Wolfie via email over the past several years. Wolfie and my Dad (George Shehan) were responsible for my interest in aviation and my 35-year career flying both military and commercial airlines. Wolfie shared many of his experiences flying. I always looked forward to his emails. We also shared similar political views. I think the last time he was in Ohio was for Mildred Nesbitt's funeral, and I was out of the country so I didn't get to see him. I hadn't seen him face to face for many years. 
May God Bless you and your family during this time. Wolfie was a special man.

Uncle Wolfie, you were always an inspiration to me. I loved your recounting of your days in WWII. Not the war itself but your telling of your experiences through your eyes. Your writings were so well written and through your veracity made me feel as though I was with you in your cockpit looking over your shoulder as most assuredly your guardian angel was looking out for you.  I have been encouraged by the way you conducted your life as a forthright man with honor, dignity and courage and to my knowledge never a complaint. You, Uncle Wolfie are a man's man, you steadfastly embodied the true sense and significance of the Greatest Generation. I know that I had two of the most wonderful big brothers of all.  I loved and respected both of them.

Dear Wolfie, I have so many HAPPY memories of our childhood: riding the train to grand-papa's, playing in the creek, walking everywhere we went albeit in Memphis,on the farm in Alabama, or just sight-seeing...
