I was so saddened to hear about Tanya’s passing. My stepmother worked with her and recently told me about this. Tanya and I were in high school together. She and I bonded over our slight obsession with the movie, The Crow, and together we’d fawn over the lead actor, Brandon Lee. I also went on a family trip to Florida with her once. What I remember of Tanya is that she stood firm in who she was. She wasn’t easily influenced by others (which was a good thing in high school) and had a strong moral foundation. As many of the others have mentioned, she did have the most infectious laugh, brilliant smile, bright energy, and might I add - THE best hair. My heart goes out to her loved ones. Tanya was my first official manager. I could talk to her about anything; sports, travel, then switch to education, and development. Her enthusiasm was contagious. She had a huge, huge part in my career path. She taught me so much about servant leadership. Sending love and prayers to her all her family and friends.

She could always make the toughest workouts so much more fun!

Tanya was a member at our Pure Barre studio in San Antonio, Texas. Our members and team loved having her in classes thanks to her incredible positive energy. She was kind to everyone, always smiling and laughing, and she gave every workout her all. She was the biggest supporter of her Barre Besties and loved a good theme day and playlist. Today, several of us got together for a workout in her honor.  We love and miss her dearly, and wanted to share that she has had a lasting impact on all of us in so many ways! 

Tanya was such a bright light of love. Always smiling and laughing. Will miss her voice and compassion. 

Tanya was the sweetest person.  That's how I will remember her...kind, caring and happy.
I had the privilege of working with her in Colorado and in San Antonio.
I Ioved the way she said BT! with her smile and enthusiasm whenever I visited SanAntonio.

Tanya was my partner in crime at work and I would like to say my friend. We had interactions almost each day, and in the short time we worked together I grew to appreciate her for so many things. Tanya had such an upbeat personality, provided thoughtful insights into the daily bumps in the road, expressed such a great sense of humor and had an infectious laugh. I will miss her terribly, and in the short time she was in my unit she got a place in my heart. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. 

I have always known Tanya to be smart, adventurous and curious, and a loving and caring human being. From our first meeting when she was maybe 9 or 10 years old, through her Barbie years, Junior High and High School and through college, we could always count on her to bring light and liveliness to any room she walked into. Her humanity became even more obvious, as has been Michael's, during our meetings during out of town jaunts over the past few years. 

Upon hearing what had befallen Tanya and Michael on that Wednesday a little over 2 weeks ago I seemed to have immediately lost my breath, and what little control I’ve ever had over tears. Max and I sobbed for hours, then some on each day since, most over what Michael, Anita, Sam, Austin and so many others must be going through. Only over the past few days have we, at least I, come to terms that what was God’s will perhaps should not be argued by us remaining here. Tanya, I feel, is now in a much better place. What we see with our eyes, the thoughts that run through our minds, and all that we feel in our hearts Tanya will now always know.

I will miss Tanya’s hellos, and will definitely miss her sweet goodbyes. They always included a firm hug, peck on a cheek, "Good-bye Uncle" and then, with a big smile . . . "See you later."

Tanya, know that you are loved, and shall forever be on our minds and in our hearts. Rest peacefully now, and we will . . . See you later.

Tanya has such an impact on my life.  She was always encouraging me and always showing her love and positivity for me and my family. Tanya pretty much forced me to go back to school and get my degree and my life has changed so much because of her.  We love you Tanya from the Pinkerton Clan

So many things to say about my sweet T.  She is a breath of fresh air, a light when she enters a room, a sister, and a friend.  She is loved by so many.   She cares deeply for others, always checking on them to make sure everyone is ok.  I love you and miss you.  Until we meet again, dance with the angels and rest in His peace.

I have not known Tanya as long as many; however, this beautiful person will leave a void in my life as with many. She was such a great co-worker and friend with a beautiful soul, and her kindness and smile will never be forgotten. She will definitely make a wonderful Angel for all of us and will continue to watch over Michael all the days of his life. May the wonderful memories each one of her family and friends shared with her bring you comfort in this very difficult time. Never forget and her goodness will shine upon each of us. Love you Tanya! 

I have so many fond memories of Tanya❤️ One of my funniest memories of Tanya is when I was down in San Antonio attending an Underwriting  conference. I saw Tanya walking towards me and started waving to get her attention when she suddenly she disappeared… she had accidentally turned into the men’s restroom.  When she ‘quickly’  backed out we laughed uncontrollably. She was the kindness , genuine and generous person around. The world will be a lot sadder without her. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.

You will live forever in our hearts Tanya.

Left to cherish Tanya's life are her father Samuel and brother Austin Hopkins of Colorado Springs , her  mother Anita of Pueblo, and her grandmother Florence Torres in California.
