Susan M. Patchett

Susan M. Patchett, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away suddenly December 22 after a 5 month battle with cancer. She was born March 16, 1937 in Kansas City, MO to Daniel H. Chappell and Hazel K. Slaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Daniel H. Chappell II.A 40 year Colorado Springs resident, she is survived by her husband of 48 years, John (Jack) Patchett, her son, Jeff Patchett of Orange County, CA, his wife, Carolyn, their children, Michael, Jonathan and Daniel and her daughter, Jenny Hillstrom, of Colorado Springs, her husband Jeff and their children Ryan, Zachary and Kaitlyn.She was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed, especially by her family. Sue was kind, generous and always had a thoughtful word or gesture for everyone. She will be remembered by her children and grandchildren for being an enormous influence on all of their lives. She was a passionate animal lover particularly her beloved Springer Spaniel, Henry and was an avid sports fan, with her favorites being the Rockies and the Broncos. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 28 at 12:00 p.m., Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Reception to follow.
