Sue was the most beautiful human, inside and out. Her grace and love for others was a treasure to behold. I am thankful for the times we had from childhood through becoming parents ourselves. Your friendship meant the world to me and I continue to aspire to do it as well as you did. Love you.

Sue and I met  in college and we became friends. We shared a lot of interests including crafts. We kept in touch over the years through calls and Christmas cards but eventually lost touch. She was one of the most kindest and giving persons  I ever knew. I searched for her on Google in recent years but could not find her. I wanted to reconnect and see how she was doing. I was not on social media so it was not as easy. I am sorry I missed the chance to tell her how much I appreciated her kindness and generosity.

Sue left such an impact on so many lives.  My son, and the other Kilmer  Kindergaterten students in his class, just loved her to pieces. She was so patient and kind with all of them. She was the perfect type of person to be a Primary School Teacher! She went above and beyond to make her classroom fun and inviting, and she always had creative, fun activities for them to do and they still remember to this day, like building Leprechaun Traps and Turkeys  in disguise. She also made an impact on the parents.  She was still friends with so many parents of the children she taught. That goes to show how kind and loving she was.  Those qualities and her bright smile drew people in. I recently had the opportunity to take Sue to a healing touch prayer session with our Pastor at our church.  It was a very touching experience.  What sticks out the most to me is that when the Pastor asked Sue about her side effects from all of her treatments, Sue just said she didn’t care about any of the side effects. She would try anything to lengthen her life, and the side effects were nothing to her.  She wanted to spend as much time as she could with her family. She was so strong, and would never complain about the treatments.  I remember her mentioning at Kilmer one day that she was having a hard time with a certain task because the ends of her fingers were numb from chemo.  I told her that chemo was so awful.  She replied to me something to the effect that she was just so grateful for the chemo because it helped her live longer.  She could live with numb fingers. I just wish that all of the treatments, the healing touch prayer, and all of the other things she tried could have worked to eradicate the cancer. I guess it just wasn’t in God’s plan for Sue.  Sue was so very special that I am sure God needed her to be an angel in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family that she so dearly loved. We are so sorry for your great loss. Sue was an inspiration! 

Sue is one of those teachers that grownup students come back to visit because she had such a positive impact on their life in first grade.  

I taught with her at Hudson Elementary.  We became friends right away as “new hires”.  She always had such a heart for all children.  She was a great example of loving and encouraging others.

I will miss you Sue.

I was Sue’s dentist for 17 years. I always thought so much of her. She had an uncanny ability to be strong and gentle at the same time. She was a model of perseverance. I will always remember her. To Austin, Tyler, and Jeremy-I’m so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how heartbroken you guys are. Hang in there. I know she taught you all everything you need to know to get through this tough time. I’ll be thinking about you guys. 

Mrs. Abbott was my son's teacher at Kilmer. It was a difficult year for our family and she was so amazing and caring. Over 10 years later I ran into her and she remembered me and asked about him, wanting to see his pictures and what he was doing. She impacted so  many kids' lives and was such a sweet and caring lady. She will be missed!

I only met Sue after she left teaching. Her Kilmer family loved  her dearly.  I got the pleasure of hiking with her one day with the lovely Kilmer ladies. She was a sweet and gentle soul, and it was clear that she loved children. God speed. 

I was so sad to hear about Sue's passing. She was an absolute sweetheart. She taught our children at Kilmer and was a phenomenal teacher that we and our kids both loved. There was a couple year stretch where we were at financial bare bones and were on a minimum expense budget. Our daughter had holes in her shoes and dear Sue offered to buy her new ones. She was a generous soul who will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with her family who were undoubtedly blessed by having her in their lives. May she rest in peace.

This still doesnt seem real that my mom has passed. I can never thank her enough for what she did for me and my two brothers. She did whatever it took to make sure we were taken care of. I am so thankful for Keith and all the happiness he has brought to her. I will never forget the night I helped my mom setup her match.com profile. She had the biggest smile on her face when she saw Keith on there. From then on I always remeber how happy both of them were. Mom I love you so much and will never forget you. You helped me become the person I am today.

I have such fond memories of Sue from high school and am broken-hearted to hear of her passing. Always so sweet and kind, with such a beautiful smile and eyes that sparkled playfully. I remember driving around with Sue and  “the girls” before and after football games. What a warm heart and kind soul. My heart goes out to her family. May God’s healing peace be with you all. 

It was wonderful to see Sue at our most recent class reunion.  She hadn't changed a bit! Such a warm smile and beautiful eyes.  I am grateful to have memories to carry in my heart.  My prayers to all of Sue's family during this time.  

My heart is filled with sadness learning of Sue's passing.  I will forever remember her infectious sweet smile along with her kind gentle beautiful eyes.  We shared many good memories together while at Palmer HS and what keeps coming to mind is how lucky I felt to have her for a friend during those years.  

So sorry to hear about Susan's passing. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. So many wonderful memories at Palmer High School. My thoughts and prayers to Susan's family. 🙏

We are so sorry to hear of Jean's passing.  She had one of the sweetest smiles, eclipsed only by how sweet she truly was.  Let this serve as a reminder to us that each day is a gift, and to remind those dear to us that they are loved.  Rest in peace, Sue...

Susan was one of my best friends since kindergarten. We lived on the same street growing up and we were with each other almost everyday.  She was such an amazing friend. Always loyal, compassionate, loving, generous and kind. She had one of the most beautiful smiles and her sweet giggles always made me laugh. I will miss her all the days of my life. We will meet again, my beautiful friend. 

I’m so sorry to hear of Sue’s passing.  I have so many fond memories of our time at Horace Mann Jr High and at Palmer High School.   My prayers are with all those who love her so dearly!

Memories beginning at Edison Elementary from kindergarten (with Mrs. Wright) to 6th grade (with Mr. Gentry), 7th, 8th & 9th grades at Horace Mann Jr. High, 10th, 11th & 12th grades at William J. Palmer High School, through the many laughs and pains of our adult lives!  It is so very good to have life long friends.  This friend will be sorely missed.  I love your smile and your giggles. It was great to see you at the 40th Palmer HS Reunion. It was a pleasure to talk to you and your husband. You finally met my wife. 
I remember the good times we had going to football games, hockey games and when you were on the cheerleading squad at Palmer in 1978. You all were so supportive at all of our basketball games and we us to go to Paninos and hang out after games. 
Sue you will be missed. RIP my friend.
