Her love of music lifted those around her. She served in the Sweet Adeline's organization for 30 years and became a mentor to her friends there, not only as a chorus member but as a director, arranger, and music judge.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had a great love of and faith in our Savior Jesus Christ was evident through her service to Him as a teacher in the Primary, Sunday School and Seminary. She served as a president in the Primary and Relief Society organizations. She served faithfully as a temple ordnance worker and patron for many years.
She leaves behind a great legacy of loving her husband Kim of 36 years; children: Kristian Cope of Prescott AZ, Kimberlee (Paul) Box of Colorado Springs, Katherine (Ken) Riggs of Pensacola, FL; her eight grandchildren; two brothers; cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Visitation will be December 29, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs CO and December 30, 2011, 9:30 am until 11 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, at 4955 Meadowland Blvd, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
