Shaun Paul Dewberry

On Wednesday March 1, 2023 a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend departed this world to eternal rest.

Kapone was united in Holy Matrimony to his longtime friend and the love of his life, and his Queen "Cat" Whitehead-Dewberry who was by his side when God called him home.

Kapone had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation. His voice was loud and boisterous and his laugh was infectious to everyone around him. A man of many journeys and stories, the way he understood them, all in which would grab a person's attention & somehow draw out some of the most inspiring conclusions because he had a touch and hold on everyone he encountered in different ways.

Kapone was truly a great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family that loved him dearly. He was a selfless & God-fearing man whose passing left an unfillable void in the hearts of many. His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, forgive and love will be forever engrained in all who had the distinct pleasure of knowing him. If you knew Shaun then you also know that he would give you the shirt off of his back, his last few dollars or even the very shoes off of his feet --- And we know how much he LOVED his clothes and shoes!!!

Kapone overcame many struggles in his short-lived life but he maintained the promise to himself & his goal to complete his education & obtained his GED as well as his degree in culinary. Kapone ultimately went on to become a devoted employee who worked and managed alongside of his Sister Marquetta and Brother Orlando.

Kapone was preceded in death by his father: Larry Dewberry, his Grandparents: Cicero Dewberry Sr & Mary Dewberry, his Aunt: Barbara Dewberry-Berger and 5 uncles: Jeffery Dewberry Sr, Karl Dewberry, Cicero Dewberry Jr, Jerry Dewberry and Lention Dewberry.

Kapone leaves to cherish his loving memories: Mother: Ida Peterson, Mother in law: Rosemary Whitehead, Wife: Catheren Whitehead-Dewberry, 3 children: Jalauna Dewberry, Ka'Shaun Dewberry, Davian Prestwhich-Dewberry, as well as a his Grandson: Slade & his God Children: Christian Roberts and Raziyah Lewis.

Kapone also leaves the following loved ones that continue his memories Bob Marshall (his grandfather), "Auntie-Mom" Regina Dewberry, "Cousin-Brother" Jeffery "Poe" Dewberry Jr (Shataurra), "Cousin-Sister" Katrina Dewberry-Searcy (Tim), "Cousin-Sister" Shinika Lambert (Mike), Aunte Allison Crough, Uncle Brett Marshall, Sisters: Kiara, Marquetta, and Nicole his longtime Best Friend & Brothers “J Roc, Kagg, G, Orlando, Q, Jeremy, Leo, Sko, Squirt, Snoop G and Menace just to name a few along with a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, Folks & Friends so many we could not name.

The Family gratefully acknowledges all expressions of sympathy and acts of kindness extended during our bereavement. Your thoughtfulness in prayers, foods, cards and concerns have immensely helped in lightening our burden.
