Sally Pfeiffer, 92, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away Saturday, October 31, at her home with her family by her side. A private ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 4, at Fairview Cemetery.
Sally Pfeiffer was born on December 10, 1927, in Mutual, Utah. She married Dr. Richard E. Pfeiffer on April 8, 1961. Sally attended Wasatch Academy college preparatory school followed by the University of Utah, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. She was a finalist for Miss Utah in 1949, capturing her beauty, poise, intelligence and talent. Sally was a remarkable singer who loved music and enjoyed social dancing. She had a passion for education and spent ten years in a second-grade classroom where she shared her expertise in history and instilled a love for learning in her students. Sally and her husband have lived in Colorado
Springs for the last 53 years.
Sally volunteered in many aspects of the Colorado Springs community, including Colorado Springs Medical Society Women’s Auxiliary, Boy Scouts of America, Relief Society, and more. Everyone in the community knew Sally by her positive outlook and unmistakable love for life.
She is survived by two sons: Richard J. Pfeiffer and wife Karyn (of Satellite Beach, Florida) and Phillip L. Pfeiffer and wife Shandra (of Idaho Falls, Idaho); five grandchildren: Shareece Baddley, Tim Pfeiffer, Blake Pfeiffer, Jenni Hewett, and Sharelle Burgess; and three great-grandchildren: Hadley Pfeiffer and Zachary and Ashton Baddley.
