Rosa M Phillips

08/04/1931 – 02/03/2023

Rosa M Phillips, aged 92, passed away peacefully March 2nd 2023. She was born April 18th, 1931 in Germany. She married Marvin Douglas Phillips, an American Solider, in 1953 who was taken too soon in 1978. Rosa is survived by her three children; Ray, Janet and Roger.

Rosa brought her German heritage and culture into her family along with her phenomenal cooking skills which she learned from her Mother who was a Gourmet Chef.

Rosa loved long walks in the Colorado mountains enjoying the nature and beauty of her surroundings. She also had a love for Mexican food, outdoor concerts with a bottle of wine and attending the Colorado Spring Symphony events.

Rosa had a passion for Christmas and instilled a very strong Christmas tradition in the family with hand making of Christmas ornaments and German festive foods. The entire Phillips family Christmas tree was decorated with handmade ornaments and traditional German candles. Rose would lead the family in celebrating Christmas Eve with a traditional dinner of German wieners and potato salad, Christmas Eve church service followed by family gift giving with egg nogg and German treats.

Rosa was a loving and devoted wife and mother, full of elegance and charm.

Please join us celebrating her life Wednesday 29th March, 2023, for a memorial service from 11:00am-12:00pm at Memorial Gardens Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery. A reception will follow from 12:00pm – 1:00pm.
