 It's hard to believe that you are gone, Rob. After 36 years, many conversations, and adventures you are imprinted on my soul. You were always sincerely interested in my life and family. Your spirit was open, positive, and full of fun. From the little pot bellied stove in Stoughton, to the portaging in Alaska, to the camping in Wisconsin, Alaska , and Colorado, to the solarium in your last home, I truely miss you and love you.

Rob and I shared so many memories in Jr High and High School - he was a fabulous guy - my sympathies to Nordeen and Judy - and I do remember his dancer performances - awesome - and the boos from the elementary students were so funny - makes me smile to remember

There is no way for me to express my love for my Uncle Rob. He was a great friend and role model to me. I have spent hours with him discussing everything from British explorers in the Middle East to the best way to drink coffee (strong and black). I will miss our conversations. He's taught me so much in life. Uncle Rob, I love you with all my heart for the rest of my life.

I am very saddened to hear of Rob's passing. He was a great center on our jr. high basketball team and a great traveller.  My heart felt condolences to his family and friends.

I worked with Rob for years, and I can't think of anyone else i've known who carried such an air of tranquility and good humor. I was sorry to hear that he's gone.

There are very few who people who can make us fell better by only remembering the times that we spend growing up.
Dobber,you were the best that Vernon Street had to offer.

I only knew Rob while he was in the nursing home but he was such an interesting person to speak with. I knew he loved his family tremendously and enjoyed being part of the wedding festivities last year.  Rob also had a special fondness for exotic and spicy cuisine and occasionally myself and some co-workers would share a "little feast" with him along with some good stories.  I will miss his voice and his presence here..Please accept my sympathy for your loss.

It will be the little things that we will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter.  Although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.

It is very difficult for me to think of just one thing to say about Uncle Rob.  I am so thankful for this website since I am in the Philippines and can only send my thoughts and love through virtual space.  Uncle Rob has been a huge influence in my life.  In my youth, he was the cookie monster, our babysitter, our playful jester. He served as an inspiration for traveling to far-flung places and hiking the great outdoors. He always reminded us the importance of family and the luck we share in having one another.  Uncle Rob, I love you forever and ever across time, space, dimensions of existence and whatever else that could possibly separate us.

Nordeen and Judy, You may not remember me but i remember some very fun times that Rob and I had in our junior high years together and i am sorry for your loss.

Having known Rob his entire life, it's hard to leave just 1 message. When we were little guys, Rob had this great set of wooden blocks. We both had bags of green plastic army men. We would spend an hour setting up our armies and then we would take turns shooting each others army until none were left. If was fun being a little guy and having Rob as a friend.

I worked with Rob for many years.  He was a nice man with a big heart!

Back in 1967 I went to Madison to see the movie The Graduate with the Offerdahl family. From that day on Rob always called me Mrs Robinson. It makes me smile every time I think of it.

A great next door neighbor growing up. Spent alot of time playing Robin Hood and Little John. Never saw Delores so mad as the time Rob and I got a little carried away and Rob knocked my glasses off and into the snow. We never did find them and the three of us spent a long time looking for them. It meant alot to have you in Scotland with me. I'll always remember the fun times growing up with the Offerdahl family.
