He was born in Oak Ridge, TN on May 30, 1957. He is the son of Connie Dear Lee of Colorado Springs, CO and the late Raymond Curtis Lee. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served five years in the U.S. Navy, attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He earned a B.S. degree from the Colorado School of Mines and subsequently worked for the U.S. Department of Interior. He served as a district manager for the Bureau of Land Management.
He is preceded in death by his father and his sister, Rebecca Dear Lee Herrin.
A public viewing will be held April 28 at Vista Grande Baptist Church of Colorado Springs at 10:30 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. A private graveside service will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vista Grande Baptist Church Building Fund, 5680 Stetson Hills Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80917 or Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607-3000.
