He was born in Center, Colorado on February 21, 1946 to Adelina Marquez and Vidal Vigil.
Ramon graduated from the Emily Griffith School for Mechanics and shortly after, went to work at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal building bombs for the US Government. He also spent 20 years as a salesman for Electrolux Vacuums, and was salesman of the year for 8 straight years.
Ramon was a Jehovah Witness and frequented the local Kingdom Hall.
He was married twice, to Linda Flores in Denver and to Geraldine Frady in Yakima.
Ramon was predeceased by Bernie Vigil, Arnold Vigil, Joe Vigil, Sammy Vigil, Leonard Vigil, Ernestine Trujillo, and Archie Vigil.
He is survived by his Son Jody Vigil in Denver, CO, his two daughters; Carmen Liotta in Georgia, and Becky Neal in Yakima, Washington. He is also survived by his brother, Arsenio Marquez, his sisters; Emelda Cook, Eva Martinez, Barbara Martinez, Angie Bullard, and by 7 grandchildren; Jody Jr., Jacob, Jonathon, Olivia, Joel, Ryan, Chelsea, and 8 great grandchildren; Gabriella, Jayden, Madeline, Evony, Tianna, Awmanee, Mateo, and Ocean.
A memorial service followed by Reception for Ramon will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
