Phyllis L Wagner, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on September 22, 2014 at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Phyllis was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, June 23,1927. Phyllis was born to Henry and Marie Nagel. Her brothers were Earl, Henry and Bruce, all preceding her in death. She graduated from Bismarck High School and went to college at Loretto Heights College in Denver.
Phyllis married the love of her life, Virgil Wagner also from North Dakota. They were married 47years when Virgil preceded her in death in 1995. She leaves behind sons Lance and Lynn both of Colorado Springs, and daughter Cherie (Mike) of Florida. Son Larry (Nora) of Anchorage, Alaska preceded her in death. Phyllis leaves behind grandsons Jake and Mark and granddaughters Tracey and Tina; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis had many interests. When her children were young it was common for her to be 'class mom' or involved in the parent organization at Benet Hill Academy. Phyllis enjoyed collecting antiques, depression glass and dolls and was a member of their respective clubs. She was an accomplished china painter and enjoyed creating beautiful China . She loved to dance and travel with her husband. They were able to visit all 50 states and also vacationed in Europe, Canada and Ireland. Phyllis,was very proud of her Irish heritage.
Visitation will take place Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 3:00 - 5:00p.m., at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade, Colorado Springs. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 927 North Logan, Colorado Springs. Internment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.
