Nancy was born in Ames, Iowa to Agnes and Arlie Schumer. Nancy was the youngest of 5 siblings. In 1962,she moved to Colorado Springs with her parents and sister. She attended Divine Redeemer grade school and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1969.
There she met Glen Law and the two were married in July 1970 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. They raised two wonderful daughters, Chari and Diane and have been blessed with five grandchildren.
Nancy was employed by the El Paso County Clerk’s Office and School District #11. She enjoyed working with grade school children at Jefferson Elementary.
Nancy is survived by her husband Glen Law, her daughters Charmaine Bryant of Grand Junction, Diane Villavicencio of Colorado Springs, brothers Robert and Phil Schumer of Ames, Iowa, sisters Virginia Hausner of Ames, Iowa, and Rosemary Hatch of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her grandchildren Cassidy Bryant, Izabella Bryant, Elizabeth Villavicencio, Alecxander Villavicencio and Marcus Bryant.
Private interment services will be at Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 11 at Swan-Law Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to Rocky Mountain Cancer Center or Interim Hospice Care.
