Michael was born in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, to parents, Ken and Faye, joining older sister, Erin Joy.
At age 4, Michael moved, with his family, to Colorado Springs, and then to Hong Kong for 2 years, where the local Chinese people fell in love with his snowy blonde hair and cheeky smile, patting him on the head, to give them good luck.
A move to the Gold Coast, Australia followed, where Michael enjoyed trampoline, swimming, basketball, and elementary school. Four years later, the family moved to Penang, Malaysia, where Michael loved attending Dalat School, and life on and off campus with friends. In 1998 Michael and his family returned to Colorado Springs, where he attended ECA, graduating in 2003.
Michael married Elaina Tate in 2008, but sadly, they divorced in 2012. They remained friends, however.
Michael didn't love formal education, but enjoyed anything creative and artistic, so decided to attend BarTending Academy, followed by Paragon Culinary School. Michael worked at the Caspian Café for 10 years, learning so much about the food service industry. Other jobs in the field of cooking were Michael’s way to pay the bills.
Michael was a beautiful artist, who painted brightly colored abstract pieces on canvas.
Michael was a fine cook, and enjoyed the creative sides of catering and experimenting with different cuisines.
Michael had a keen sense of humor, and loved being with his family and playing rounds of Quiddler or Dominoes.
Michael was a caring and compassionate person, who loved his family dearly, and in recent years, especially his nephew and niece, Tyler and Ava.
Michael was a wonderful friend, and had a heart of gold.
Michael is survived by his parents, Ken and Faye, sister Erin, brother in law Chad, nephew Tyler, niece Ava,
Grandmother Eunice, Aunt Kerry, Uncle David, and numerous cousins, great nieces and nephews.
