Melodie B. Walters

Melodie Walters was born on October 23, 1951 in Corcoran County, California. She left us on November 4, 2010. She is survived by her parents Jack and Betty Byers, her sister Carol Mitchell, her beloved husband of 37 years, Gary and their three wonderful sons Christopher, Michael, and Jonathan. Mel now joins her little brother Bryan in heaven.

Gary and Mel were high school sweethearts who married in 1973. The next 10 years saw the births of their three sons who were the absolute joy of her life. Her passion as a wife and mother is what defined her. She was the heart of our home and the driving force behind all our successes. She had a creative spirit that led to a love of arts and crafts. She will best be remembered for her strength, fun loving attitude and as a devoted wife and mother.

Mel’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service at 1:00 p.m.,Thursday, November 11, 2010, Stone Chapel at Woodmen Valley Chapel, 280 E. Woodmen Rd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919.
