Melodie Anne Cole

passed away on May 23, 2018. She was born in

Denver, CO and adopted at 10 days of age by Max and

June Mills of Kit Carson, CO. She had an older brother,

Mark Mills.

The family moved to La Oroya, Peru in June of 1953.

They moved to Cripple Creek, CO the summer of 1957.Melodie started first grade in

Cripple Creek. In 1962, they moved to Wray, CO. She graduated from high school at

Wray, CO in 1970. She moved to Monument from Scottsdale, AZ in 2016. She had lived

in Scottsdale for many years before moving to Monument.

She got re-acquainted with the "love of her life", Roger Barker, in 2017. He also went to

Wray High School. They were planning on getting married this coming September.

Melodie is survived by her brother and sister in law, Mark and Sally Mills. She is also

survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews: Jeffrey Scott Mills, Michael Forrest Mills, Misti

Lynn Mills, Lana Hofman and 12 great nieces and nephews.
