Matthew was born on May 3, 1987, in Visalia, CA, to parents, Russ and Jill Roberson. Matt was the first born of their two sons.
Matt graduated from Redwood High School in Visalia in 2005 and went on to College of the Sequoias to study.
Matt moved to Colorado Springs in 2015 and was especially fond of Manitou Springs. He enjoyed living in walking distance & biking distance to Manitou. He loved being able to look out his front door at the clear view of Pikes Peak. He also enjoyed living close to his Aunt, Uncle and cousins in the Springs.
Matt is survived by his parents, Russ and Jill of Visalia, CA, and his younger brother Jacob, of Fresno, CA. Uncle & Aunt Rusty & Pam Gipson, cousins Russ Gipson, Greg Gipson and his family, Tamela Pearsall and her family, and Rachael Smith and her family. Matt will be missed more than words can express, but we look forward to being reunited with him again one day.
A private memorial service with family will be held on Sunday, July 23rd.
Matt was very compassionate towards the homeless and from time to time would drive someone in need to places they needed to go or buy them a meal.
