James "The Yeti" Jordahl, 39, devoted husband and father, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2020 in Colorado Springs, CO from complications of Ewing's Sarcoma, with his wife by his side. He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, August 19, 1981, the second of two children born to the union of the Jay and Barbara L. Jordahl.
James graduated from Roseville Area High School in 1999. He joined the USAF and honorably served for over 20 years in Communications , retiring in December 2019, with the rank of Master Sergeant. While in the military he earned a degree from American Military University in Environmental Science. He was recently employed by ATT Government Solutions , as a Senior Specialist, Project Manager.
Family, friends and his teammates were extremely import ant to James. He had a love for the outdoors, especially fishing, traveling and having a beer with those close to him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle, his daughter Sydney and his so n Zach. He is preceded in death by his father Jay. Survived by his mother Barbara and siblings Jody, Dan and Jason, many nephews and I niece.
Internment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, anticipated in 2021. Celebration of Life to follow.

Master Sergeant James “The Yeti” Jordahl is the Superintendent for the Combat Development Division, 21st Operations Group, 21st Space Wing, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. In this scope, he serves as the administration and project manager to help guide and assist the 21st Space Wing Commander with future projects and capabilities. The 21st Space Wing spans the globe providing missile warning and defense, space domain awareness, and space control for combat forces and the national command authorities of the United States and Canada.
Sergeant Jordahl grew up in Roseville, Minnesota and after completing basic training in 1999, he attended Satellite and Wideband technical training at
FT. Gordon, GA. Since then, he has performed many duties in the communications/cyber systems career field including Section Chief, Flight Chief, acting First Sergeant, and Maintenance Superintendent. He has over 6 years of joint military experience and assignments include bases and locations in Maryland, Italy, North Carolina, California, and Colorado.
