Mary was born in Redwing, Colorado on February 16, 1930 to John and Della Cordova. She married Abel Oclides Rivera in August of 1948 at which time they moved to Colorado Springs. Mary was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Ben, Ralph, Virgil and Joe, and sisters Mary Ann and Mary Alice.
She is survived by her children Josephine 'Lorraine' Bueno, Verna (Pat) Trujillo, Leroy (Yolanda) Avila, Henry (Jan), Carol (Jeff) Akers, Toby (Robin) and Johnny; grandchildren Dion (Erin), Darrick (Jennifer), Duane (Kay), Amanda, Seth (Amy), Antoinette, Aaron (Daycie), Terry (Ashley), Nyssa (Jared), Crystal (Nick), Felicia (Greg), Lucas (Brittany) and Cody; and great grandchildren DJ (Hannah), Mareina (Alfredo), Kaitlin, Isabella, Kaytlin, John, Leila, Sam, Chayce, Chayton, Adrianna, Devin, Gabriel, Joseph, Abigail, Landon, Briana, Austin, Marisol, Damien, Mya, Christian, Jaydon, Anela, Adayla, Dylan, Ethan, Liana, Miranda, Charlie, Lincoln, Lethen, Zoey, Mia, Emma, Drake, Tyce, And Enslee. Mary is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 30th followed by Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 31st at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2715 E. Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
