Mary V. Snyder Hunsinger

Mary Virginia Hunsinger, 87, died October 27, 2015 in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born September 25, 1928 in La Junta, CO to Mark and Annie Snyder. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. Hunsinger.

Mary graduated from La Junta High School and attended Goshen College and Otero County Junior College. She married Glenn in 1948 and moved to Colorado Springs in 1956.

Mary enjoyed china painting, embroidery and reading. She is survived by four children: Lee Ann (Jay) Carroll, Mark (Rebecca) Hunsinger, Steve Hunsinger and Mary Sue Powers, and seven grandchildren: Daniel Carroll, Jonathan, Kelsey, Kalen and Broden Powers, Morgan and Mason Hunsinger.

What made Mary’s life remarkable was her commitment to and deep abiding love for her family, her innate personal strength, kindness, patience and dedication to those she loved.

A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held on Friday, November 6 at 3:00pm at First United Methodist Church, 420 N. Nevada in Colorado Springs.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association or the charity of the givers choice.
