I am Joan Perkins, and Mary Jane and I were members of ADK, Eta Chapter, an altruistic teachers' sorority. I have known Mary Jane for many years from the meetings we both attended. She was a very loyal member attending most all of the meetings, and she also helped on the sunshine committee for many years by sending out birthday cards and get well greetings. I always enjoyed visiting with her and hearing about her family. I think one of her sons was a principal, and one of her daughter's-in-law was a teacher at Pine Valley Elementary in District Twenty. She would always ask about my family and wanted to know how everyone was doing! She was lovely, and I will certainly miss her.

Mary Jane was one of a kind! I was so blessed to have her in my life! She loved her family, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren were her life. She would always tell me how much she enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s sporting events! She wouldn’t miss them for the world! Her son Steve and Terry were always talked about in her haircut appointment’s.. MaryJane always talked about going to garage sales with her sister, she didn’t need a thing , but loved spending the time together. She had a very blessed life with Rodger and her children.God Bless her and her loved ones!

I remember the Bensons. They lived across the street from us. I have fond memories of the family. I was hoping to send a card to Roger and Mary's children. (This format is very limiting, however.) 

My sister let me know that Mary had passed away. I hope that her sons remember their parents fondly.
