Arrangements under the direction of SMary Anna (Sauerhagen) Allison was born August 8th, 1925 in Clinton, MO to Herman and Ruby (Sorrels) Sauerhagen. Mary moved with her family to Colorado Springs, CO in 1943.
She married Tommy Allison from Channing, Texas November 10th, 1946. They moved to the Texas Panhandle and worked on a ranch for 3 years. After that, they returned to Colorado Springs purchased a small ranch east of Colorado Springs. They owned and operated a dairy for 27 years; had sheep, cattle and horses.
Mary is survived by her three children, Michael Allison, Brenda (Stan) Sickinger and Charlene Flagg, one grandson Neil (Jessie) Raedel, two granddaughters Lindsay Flagg and Katelyn Flagg, Two great granddaughters, Kelsea Tamberino and Kalee Raedel. Mary has a sister Ruth (Cliff) Whitaker and a brother Marvin (June) Sauerhagen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Allison, and a brother Harless (Jenny) Sauerhagen. She has several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mary liked spending time with her family, growing flowers outside and taking trips to see the aspens. Sewing, embroidery, crocheting and needlework were her favorite hobbies. She was a member of the Ellicott United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Ellicott Homemakers Club. Neighbors stopping by for a chat and coffee pleased her very much.
A visitation will be held at Chapel of Memories, 829 S. Hancock Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80910 at 5-7pm on February 11, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
