Marsha will be profoundly missed by her husband Bill, her daughters Julie, Cara and Cheryl, her son Keith as well as many grand-children and great grand-children.
Marsha was born on April 17, 1946 and grew up on a farm near Milan, Missouri. She loved riding horses and wandering the hills with her dog Sandy. She earned a Master’s degree in Education from Northeast Missouri State University, now Truman University, before moving to Colorado where she was a high school and junior high school educator for many years before retiring.
Marsha was kind and thoughtful to all, and one of the most selfless people, always putting others before herself. She had a beautiful smile, was extremely witty and was always ready with a clever comeback. She loved to laugh and was an avid reader. She loved spending time with family and friends, taking pictures, cooking, sewing, quilting, visiting new places, and sight seeing in the mountains where she found beauty in wildflowers and the changing seasons. She had a strong faith in God and was fueled by an inner strength, which helped her overcome many of life’s obstacles, including a lifelong battle with Lupus, a severe autoimmune disorder.
Marsha was a strong fighter throughout her lifetime but is now at peace and free from all pain. She will forever be remembered for her kind and compassionate heart, laughter, unwavering love for her family, and for being a steadfast friend.
Services will be held for family and friends on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 10:00am at Woodmen Valley Chapel-Monument location.
