Marilyn Ann Patterson, age 89, of Colorado Springs, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020. She was born to Walter and Grace Chance on April 23, 1930 in Colby, Kansas.
Marilyn graduated from Colby Community High School where she was a musician, majorette and a member of student counsel. She then attended University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1955.
She was a dedicated employee of Colorado Springs School District 11 and enjoyed her retirement spending time with friends and family. She volunteered at First Christian Church, where she engaged the community in the administration office. Marilyn was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and an avid card player. She also enjoyed travelling with her family, visiting destinations like New York City, Santa Fe and Brazil.
She is survived by her daughter Sue Ann Gurwell of Colorado Springs and her family and her son Rick Patterson from Littleton and his family. Marilyn loved spending time with her children and found such joy as the family grew by 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11am on March 20th, 2020 at First Christian Church (Platte and Cascade) in Colorado Springs.
