She was retired after 25 years of service with the Federal Civil Service. She then enjoyed being a homemaker.
Marie is survived by her husband of 54 years, James C. “Jack” McDonald; son, Louis Pysklo; five grandchildren, Edgar, Michael, Jackie, Terry and Katherine; six great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Nathaniel, Jonathan, David, Jordan Cristine and Justin; as well as many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Ellenbury and Nell Binz and a brother, Buddy Flippen.
Marie and her husband traveled the world over the years. She loved to sew making many of her own clothes in her younger years. She roller-skated until she was well into her 70’s. Marie volunteered at the Chapel at the Citadel Mall and attended Mass daily.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of givers choice.
Visitation will be Monday, January 24, 2011 from 2-6 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Swan Law Cascade Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1529 E. Yampa, Colorado Springs. Entombment will follow at 2:00 p.m., Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
