Margaret Ann Davin

Margaret Ann Davin, beloved aunt, great aunt and sister in law passed away peacefully on September 3, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Bellwood, Illinois, October 1, 1942 the second of three children born to the late Clifford and Lillian Davin.

Margaret received an undergraduate degree in education from Colorado State College and enjoyed a rewarding career in Denver at Gates Rubber Company and Colorado Interstate Gas once she elected to relocate to Colorado Springs. After retirement she pursued multiple volunteer efforts at local elementary schools. She also dedicated much of her time helping her sister raise a wonderful family in Colorado Springs for over 30 years.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, devoted nephew’s Matthew (Kathy) Holecek and Shane (Arin) Holecek of Houston, Texas; precious great nieces and nephews, Madeline, Claire, David, Anakin, Bridget, and Avery; dedicated brother in law, Donald Holecek as well as a host of wonderful friends.

Visitation will take place Monday, September 9, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. (Rosary at 7:00 pm), at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs. Services will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 927 North Logan Avenue, Colorado Springs. Burial will take place immediately following the services at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs.
