Madeline (Isenhart) Overturf of Colorado Springs passed away May 27, 2022. She was a loving daughter, niece, wife, mother, auth, and grandmother. Lin's family and friends meant everything to her. All who knew her were touched by her kindness, warmth, caring demeanor, intelligence and good humor. She was the heart of the family and a loyal friend.
Lin was born July 1, 1935 to Esther Lang Isenhart and Frank Isenhart in New York City. She graduated from Scarsdale High School and Stevens College. She was going to be a teacher, but chose a different career path after graduation. She became a flight attendant with T.W.A. and later became a training instructor. She married John R. Overturf in November 1959 and they had 60 wonderful years together. They had two children John R. Overturf Jr. (Julie) and Cynthia D. Overturf-Wilson (Chris) and four grandchildren: Bobby, Grant, Rob and Allie. Lin's son John, and Husband Jack, predeceased her.
She dearly loved their cabin at Lake George, CO and spent many hours fishing, hiking, and camping in and around Colorado. She became an artist later in life and won several "Best in show" for her paintings of landscapes.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be sent to First Presbyterian Church, Music Dept., 219 E Bijou CSC 80903. A private inurnment will be at a later date, for immediate family only.
