He lived in St. Helena, CA until moving to Palo Alto CA where he graduated from Palo Alto High School. While in high school Mac was a member of a car club (Krankers). His life-long dream was to have a 1932 five window Ford. In his later years he was able to do so and loved working on it, making it into a Street Rod.
Mac continued to Jr. College and then to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA where he graduated with a degree in Biology. During college he served his military duty within the Marine, Army, and National Guard Reserves. While in the Army he earned the honor of “Expert Marksman”.
Mac worked as a chemist for Cal Ink in Berkley, CA and Hudson Lumber Company in San Leandro, CA. Mac taught himself carpentry and became a licensed General Contractor running his business for 25 years until he retired and moved to Colorado.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Dorothy, and his two children, Jennifer and Clark.
Mac is interred at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, CO.
