Lois, Charlene, to those who knew and loved her was born in Wamego, Kansas, November 17, 1937 to Charles Layton Elder and Eva Elder. She was the last remaining Edler Family sibling. She graduated, class Salutatorian in 1955. Charlene married her sweetheart Ralph, who survives her, August 21, 1955 in Wamego, Kansas. They were blessed to share 67 years together.
Charlene is also survived by her three children, Teresa (Lorne) Dillon, Kevin (Ruby) Nelson and Lori (Randy) Gerster. She was a beloved grandmother of seven and great grandmother of thirteen.
Charlene was known for her love for her family, her beauty (inside and out), quick wit, honesty, thoughtfulness, creativity and love for children in general but for her grandchildren and great grandchildren in particular. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a way of making life so special for those she loved. We will miss her so very much.
