Linda Kathleen Hannon

April 7, 1958 – October 27, 2016

Linda K. Hannon, beloved wife of Peter Hannon, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2016, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in San Luis Obispo, California on April 7, 1958 to Frank and Jeanne (Prang) Schnell.

Linda graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1976, and obtained her Associates degree in Radiology Technology from the University of Southern Colorado. She met Peter in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she was working as an X-Ray Tech. They were married in Colorado Springs on December 29, 1989. The two of them enjoyed many motorcycle rides throughout the state of Colorado. Linda and Peter enjoyed Colorado skiing and rooting for their favorite team the Denver Broncos.

Linda was proceeded in death by her father Frank Schnell, mother Jeanne Schnell, and brother James Miller. She is survived by her only daughter Kristen Archuleta of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister Susan Kluesner of Sherman, Texas; sister Dorothy McDonald of Lexington, Kentucky; two grandchildren Kye Montane and Adrian Archuleta of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

If there was one word to describe Linda it was a “Nurturer”. Linda’s house was always an open door to help anyone in need. She never hesitated to give guidance and lend an ear. She is considered a second mom to many of Kristen’s friends.

Linda was an avid reader and never missed her favorite television shows. Whenever Linda was around, there was always laughter to be found. She loved to hang out with friends and family. She loved to sing and dance with a glass of wine. She was the life of the party. She had the ability to make everyone feel special by simply calling them “Honey.”

Memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Memories 829 S. Hancock Ave. Colorado Springs, CO 80903 on Monday October 31st 2016 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, 610 Abbot Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 or the charity of choice.
