Kimberly was born on January 26, 1970 at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA to Ronald William Bogener and Mary Patricia Bogener. She was the first born of two, including her younger brother, Ronald William Bogener, Jr., better known as Bill. They grew up in Ballwin, MO, and in high school, all social events ran through the Bogener house. Kimberly loved her immediate and extended family, holidays, and traditions. Her favorite pastime was reading, and in her later years, studying and learning to better herself. Kimberly graduated from the University of Missouri–St. Louis in 1992, and received her Master’s Degree from Webster University in 2008.
Kimberly had two children in her first marriage, Amanda Patricia Unterreiner, age 27, and Justin Jeffery Unterreiner, age 26.
Kimberly met Alan Marlowe in 2001 in O’Fallon, MO. They got married on February 1, 2003 in St. Charles, MO. In marrying Al, they joined two lives to become one family, and she gained a son, James Marlowe. Together they raised their family in Missouri. The most important thing to Kimberly has always been her family. She was always at every sporting event, musical, award ceremony, and birthday party. As a family, they enjoyed being together, always eating dinner together, taking family walks, playing the latest video games, having movie nights, and playing board games. Kimberly and Al loved to cook together. After all the kids moved out, her favorite days were having the whole family together under one roof. She was there whenever her kids needed her; she always answered the phone and would drop everything if her family needed anything.
In 2020 Kimberly and Al moved to Colorado with their dogs. She loved reading, motorcycle rides with Al, and going to concerts. Kimberly missed the rest of her family in Missouri, but she was truly happy and thriving in Colorado. She had a strong community in her new home, especially her best friends Jen and Boomer Kern. She loved seeing the mountains every day, visiting numerous beautiful cities and landmarks in Colorado, was more active, and started studying for her CPA exam. She loved spending time just being with her friends, who to her, were her Colorado family.
Kimberly was extremely proud of her children and her family, and when she passed, she knew that each of them was in a great and happy place. Amanda is living in Nashville and traveling a lot. Justin recently moved to Denver and has built a new community there. James and his partner Brigita moved to Colorado shortly after Kimerly and Al with their cat; they own a house in Colorado Springs that they are renovating. Kimberly and Al built a beautiful and happy life in Colorado, and were in a great place in their marriage. Kimberly Marlowe will be carried on by her family; her loving husband of 20 years, Alan Marlowe; her children, Amanda Unterreiner, Justin Unterreiner, and James Marlowe; her mother, Patricia Roberts, and step-father, Ric Roberts; her brother, Bill Bogener, and sister-in-law, Cheli Bogener; her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and her friends who were her chosen family. Kimberly is preceded in passing by her father, Ron Bogener.
