I think of Kathy so fondly, especially her wonderful smile.
She was such a lovely person and great community builder. 
I pray for her (and her family) regularly and hold her in my heart. 
I miss her!

Our deepest sympathies to the Jung family for the loss of Kathy. Our family met Kathy at St Mary’s high school where our kids attended and our son was in Adam’s class. She was always so kind & helpful with any of our needs coming into the office. My husband and I got to know her on a more personal level when we participated with her, Steve and mutual friends in the downtown Jack Quinn run club, walk club for us, and always dinner afterwards. Was always pleasure to catch up & visit with her. Kathy was one of the nicest, upbeat person I’ve ever met! You will be sadly missed but never forgotten! May we all cherish your memories, prayers for the family.

Our deepest condolences to the Jung family for the loss of your lovely wife, mother, sister and daughter. Kathy was one of the warmest, most caring person I had the pleasure of knowing. She was funny and optimistic, and always had a positive thought when you needed a supportive hand. Her smile was a ray of sunshine on cloudy days, and her hugs made you feel like you were welcome in her circle of family and friends.

We will miss her terribly and are so grateful to have had her in our lives. God bless you my friend. Soar with the angles!

I am so sorry I was not able to attend the service for Kathy.  Unfortunately at the present time I have COVID.  It was very obvious that Kathy and Steve were wonderful parents because they had four children that were a delight to teach.  I remember that Kathy volunteered at Divine Redeemer, too.  I know she will be greatly missed by all of you.  My prayers and condolences are with all of you.

We were so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing!  We often reminisce about my bringing Kathy to the Navy Football tailgater where we introduced Steve and Kathy.  You spent many happy years together and we enjoyed our visits (I remember Kathy and I sitting on the floor while Megan and Rachel played! They were just toddlers! Now fully grown and mothers themselves.  Her family was so important to her!! She was a wonderful woman! You have our deepest condolences Steve and family!

Kathy was our sunshine at SMHS. We are blessed to have experienced her warmth, smile, and loving presence. We continue to pray for Kathy's sweet soul and for Steve and her family.  May God hold all in the palm of his hand. God Bless. 

My heart is saddened. I offer my deepest condolences to Kathy's entire family. I have such fond memories of Kathy in the business office at SMHS and our lunch conversations. Kathy always seemed like a true wonder woman to me. She was on top of everything, able to handle anything, and still always treated each person like they were the most important person at that moment in time. The way she began and ended each conversation with her wonderful, warm, and welcoming smile will remain with me. She is already greatly missed.

It is with deep sadness that I offer my condolences to Kathy's entire family.  Kathy was one of my volunteers in the Cove and later when she worked in the Business office, she would come down after lunch and we would count the cash drawers together.  We always had great conversations and plenty of laughs.  Kathy loved her family, and was so proud of her children and grandchildren!  She spoke so highly of each of you, and often mentioned how much she appreciated Steve and the constant support he offered.  Kathy will be deeply missed...her eyes with a twinkle , her positive attitude and her beautiful smile!  My heart and prayers go out to all of you, and may your precious memories eventually bring a smile to your face.



I am so devastated to hear of your loss. I volunteered at SMHS for years and knew Kathy through the school and Divine Redeemer. I always knew her to be a kind and joyful soul with a Christ-filled spirit. She and I would talk often about our kids, about our work at the school and about our shared health challenges. And she was always so optimistic. I share your grief over the loss of such a loving person May your faith, family and friends keep you during this most difficult time. 

So very sad to hear about Kathy--she was without a doubt the heart of St. Mary's.  From my first meeting w/ her back in '06 until my last visit, leaving last December, she was the dearest person.  Always willing to 'go the extra step' and the one at St. Mary's to make sure others were acknowledged--and cared for...but more, she was a very dear friend through the think & thin of our lives there--of my life there.  She will be sorely missed by many.  My heartfelt condolences to Steve and all the Jung kids.  In your sorrow just know that you're all being held in thoughts and prayers. 

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss.  Mrs. Jung will always be remembered for her warm smile, her cheerful demeanor, and her loving care for all she knew.

In addition to St. Mary’s High School, Kathy had been involved at Divine Redeemer Catholic School and Church as well. Many remember that beautiful smile, the helpful hand, and her ever extending light reaching all who knew her.

I knew Kathy first as a parent of a St. Mary's student and then as a staff member of St. Mary's High School. Kathy lived her faith in a most extraordinary way. She worked in the business office and always had something to do, but whatever I needed, she cheerfully stopped what she was doing to help. Kathy had the gift of transforming a place with her smile and sweet words, much the way a new-fallen snow converts a cityscape into a place of infinite wonder and beauty. I thank God for the chance to know her and to know  Christ in her.


Steve and I were close friends at the Naval Academy. I recall the very day that he told me about meeting Kathy.

I had the pleasure of spending time with Steve and Kathy while at Pensacola NAS, and I have every card sent by Steve and Kathy with family news.

Laura and I send our love and sincere condolences to Steve, his family, and friends for the loss of Kathy, a cherished and wonderful person loved and admired by so many.

Kathy is an angel.  She greeted me every morning with a smile and kind words.  She always asked about my family and how we were doing, and I could really tell she genuinely cared about us.   I remember many Tuesdays at Jack Quinns, and having meals at different downtown restaurants.  Angie and I send our love and prayers -- Mike and Angie Kloenne

I’m so thankful we were able to spend time with Aunt Kathy at the family reunion. I remember how much fun she had swimming and playing with her grandchildren that day. I remember thinking, “she’s so happy, vibrant and adventurous! I admire her so much.” 

She will be missed. 

Kathy, I can’t stop thinking of your innocent smile  and your generous heart. Virtuous, hospitable, lovely, patient …. I missed you already. May your Soul Rest In Peace.
