Judy Lynn Simpson

Judy was born on February 22, 1960 in Williston, ND to her parents Norman Simpson and Gladys Simpson (Flaten). She graduated from Ray High School in Ray, ND in 1978 and went on to attend Dickinson State College where she graduated in 1985 with a degree in Nursing and furthered her education by earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008.

Judy was married to Keith Soine from 1978-1991. They welcomed their daughter Briana in 1977 and their son Christopher in 1979. Judy was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson ND for 16 years where she worked as a psychiatric nurse and an operating room nurse, in 1998 she moved to Fargo, ND and worked at Dakota Heartland Hospital on the Cardiac Surgery team for 2 years. In 2000 Judy moved to Colorado Springs with her good friend Letty Fischer where she was employed at Memorial Hospital for 22 years.

Judy is survived by her children, Briana Bonicelli (Soine) of Colorado Springs and her husband Brian and grandsons Kai and Max; and Chris Soine of Grapevine, TX and his wife Pam (Binger) and daughter Lily; and siblings Donald Simpson, William Simpson (Cheryl), Phyllis Hodnefield (Richard), and Thomas Simpson (Jennifer). She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Gladys Simpson, her sister-in-law Noraine Simpson (Grimson) and her fiancé Joseph Kubick.

A memorial service for Judy is scheduled for November 26th at 2 pm Ray Lutheran Church in Ray, ND. It will be immediately followed by a light lunch at the Church. The Memorial Service will be live streamed on the Ray Lutheran Church Facebook page and the Ray Lutheran Church YouTube Channel.
