Judy graduated from Alhambra High School and attended CSULA, where she studied dance, music and art. Judy married Tim King on February 4, 1984. Shortly afterwards, she left the banking industry to join Tim in owning and operating StageDoor Costume Co. in Alhambra.
After an earthquake destroyed the building housing StageDoor, Judy and Tim moved to Lompoc, CA where they opened an antique shop and Judy worked for the city of Lompoc. In 2001 Judy and Tim moved to Colorado Springs, CO.
Judy loved to dance, read, sing and study her bible. She loved her dog Freckles and her two cats. Judy became a Christian as a young lady and sang in her church choir for most of her adult life. For the past several years she attended Mesa Hills Bible Church as her health would allow.
She is survived by her husband Timothy L. King of Colorado Springs; brother, Tom Vessey of Sandy, UT; sister, Nancy Johnson of Parker, CO; brothers, Michael Vessey and Ned Vessey, both of Southern California; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
A viewing will take place at Chapel of Memories (829 S Hancock Ave) on Wednesday, May 26 from 5PM-8PM. A funeral service will be held 1PM, Thursday, May 27 at Chapel of Memories with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery (1005 Hancock Expy.)
