Joyce Jeanine Clark, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2016, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Beaumont, Texas, August 10, 1955 to John Jake West and Mary Robinson West.
Joyce moved to Manitou Springs and attended Manitou Springs High School where she graduated in 1973. She worked with her mother at West’s Finish Candy Shop, Ray’s A & W and attended Adam’s State College. Later in life, she was a paraprofessional at Manitou Springs Elementary and Mitchell High School where she touched many lives and truly enjoyed her work with students.
Family and friends were extremely important to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother with an infectious smile and larger than life character. She enjoyed vacationing in Grand Lake, Colorado, taking the boat on the lake, fishing, riding the side-by-side and spending time with her family.
The last few years she was plagued with many medical issues. She was forced to be stronger and tougher than she ever needed to be. The memories and moments spent with family and friends helped her along the way.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Doug Clark; loving children, Jacob Douglas Clark, Melissa (Philip) Delich; precious grandchildren Olivia and Cooper Delich; brother Stanley Coral; as well as a host of wonderful family and friends.
The memorial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery Chapel, 1005 Hancock Expressway 80903, on Friday June 24, 2016 at 11:00am.
