Janet Ann Huff

Age 72, passed away on February 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Graham, mother Kathryn (Graham) Florey, and stepfather Henry Florey. Janet was born on August 9, 1942 in Beloit, Wisconsin. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1952. She married Edward Huff in 1961 (they divorced in 1979). Janet moved to Woodland Park in 1976 and worked as a teacher’s assistant at the Woodland Park Elementary School District for 24 years. After retiring in 2003, she took care of many children and pets of friends. She was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church and also worked in the nursery. Janet is survived by her brother Carl (Karen) Florey; children Linda (David) Mullen, Lisa Huff, Jeff (Margo) Huff, and Jodi (Henry) Jameson; grandchildren Emily, Kaleah, Brandi, Jeffrey, Destiny, Rachel, Journey, Madelyn, Danika, Mitchel, Mark, and Mariah; great-grandchildren Xavier, Joshua, Xane, Jace, Jacob, Gracie, Joseph and Alice; nephews Canyon and Chase; grand-dog Bailey and grand-cat Kiki; and life companion Carlos Martinez. Janet requested to be cremated, so there will be no visitation or burial. A celebration of life service is scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Alzheimer’s Association.
