Jane H. Snyder, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1943, passed away on December 9, 2010. She was born March 12, 1913, in Kokomo, Indiana to Charles L. and Harriet (Drake) Hummel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Dr. Maurice E. Snyder.
She is survived by her daughter Susan S. Jones, her son William D. Snyder, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Jane had been an active member of the Women’s Literary Club since 1957, PEO Chapter DL since 1959 and was an inveterate bridge player. She was also a life-long Methodist and a member of Kerygma Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 17, at the First United Methodist Church’s Lehmberg Chapel, 420 N. Nevada Ave., Colorado Springs followed by a 12:00 p.m. reception at the Inn at the Garden Plaza, 2520 International Circle.
She will be missed by many.
