James Rose was born at USAF Hospital at Clark Air Base Philippines. He was a premature baby weighing 4 pounds 11 ounces. After leaving the Philippines, he lived at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha Nebraska. He later moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where he participated in numerous sports, mainly Baseball. It was in Colorado Springs where James even taught himself how to swim!
While attending Mitchell High School, James worked at China Town as a cook. He learned how to cook all the dishes that they served. James graduated from Mitchell High School and still has many friends from his high school years.
James served in the Navy from 1991 to 2014, upon his discharge he was considered a disabled veteran. His job was in operations, his rank when he retired was Petty Officer 1st Class. Below is a list of the ships that he served on:

USNS John Erickson, a non-commissioned ship, oil tank
USS Lassen Destroyer Guided Missile
During his years in service, James received numerous metals, award, and accommodations. Upon leaving the Navy, James moved to Denver, Colorado and also lived in Lone Tree, Colorado. James ultimately succumbed to pneumonia and Covid 19 in University Hospital in Aurora, Colorado on September 5, 2021.
James was a dear friend to his parents, brothers, and sister. He is survived by his mother Francisca O Rose, Father Bernard (Bernie) J. Rose, sister Elisa Bryant, brother Bernard Rose Jr., and many nieces and nephews.
