James Pullen Sr. passed away on April 17, 2017 at the age of 93. Jim was born on August 2, 1923 in Oyster Bay, NY. He was preceded in passing by his wife Eileen who he was married to for 55 years. He is survived by his 2 sons Jim Jr. of Gilbert, AZ and Steve of Amarillo, TX. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and his extended family, the Paynes. Jim retired from the U.S. Air Force after 27 years of service, which included WWII, Korea, and the Vietnam era. Upon his retirement from the Air Force, he was employed by Colorado Springs School District 11 from which he retired in 1990. Among his many interests were model railroading, horses, and fishing. Services will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, with a reception to follow after burial.
