Jackie (Jack) Jones was born in Colorado Springs on July 18, 1947. He resided in the Chipita Park area most of his young life and migrated to Colorado Springs after graduating from Manitou high school. He was a true native and loved everything about Colorado including “his mountains”. He became a paint contractor and was still painting at the time of his death on September 15, 2024. He loved seeing what a transformation he could offer with a coat of paint.
Jack was a father, stepfather, brother, grandpa and, to many, a true friend. He leaves behind his wife Connie, his two sisters, Barbara Sabol and Donna Kearns, his son Darcy Carter and wife Barbara, stepchildren Lorrie Ryan and her family, Kris Kiper and his family and many friends and extended family. He is predeceased by his parents Wayne and Dollie Jones.
Jack also worked for the Dignity Funeral Home system for a number of years, he felt he could offer comfort to people who needed it whether that was holding babies, serving coffee or offering a shoulder to cry on.
He was a member of the Family RVing Association and took great pride in driving the motorhome all over the country, enjoying the fun and friendships he made along the way.
Jack will surely be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
