Irma R. Hilfers

Irma was born on January 14, 1924, in Colorado Springs, CO, where she lived most of her life, to Park and Anna Current.

Irma is survived by her children, Gary Owens (Sue) of Logan, Montana and Kathe (Owens) Jackson (Ernie) of Franktown, CO, and by her sister, Maloa Read, (100 years of age) of Colorado Springs, CO and her step-children Ron (Jan) Hilfers of Eldora, Iowa, Steve (Lynn) of Colorado Springs, CO, Craig Hilfers of Colorado Springs, CO, and Lori Hilfers of Divide, CO.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Hank Hilfers, her parents, one sister and 4 brothers, and one grandson.

She was the proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren; Michaela Siegel, Hank Owens (deceased), Glenn Owens, Kelli Mercer, Jodi Jackson, Eric Hilfers, MacKenzie Bilunas, Jessica Hilfers, Ryan Hilfers, Neil Hilfers, and Brendan Hilfers.

Irma was also blessed with eighteen great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life and memorial service will be held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910 on her birthday, January 14, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Breast Cancer Research in Irma Hilfers' name.
