Harold Link Passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013 with Family by his side at the age of 87.
Harold was a beloved husband, son, father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Harold was born in Denver as Ellicott did not facilities at the time. The Link family lived on a farm where Harold learned to work with his hands.
Harold married the love of his life Rosalie Stayton in Oct 1953 and joined the Army in 1954. When Harold’s tour of duty was over they settled back in Colorado Springs.
Harold worked for Baldrich Implement working on tractors for years then to a welding shop on Knob Hill and then opened his own Car Repair shop. He sold that shop to Mtn. Bell who then hired him to work on their fleet vehicles; he retired in 1988 as a mechanic.
After retirement Harold worked as a handyman around the housing communities in which He and Rosalie lived. He always had to be busy. In his last 4 years of life he suffered with Dementia which began his slow decline.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Francis Link brothers Byron and Howard, Sisters Catherine and Irene. Harold is survived by his Wife, Rosalie, Sister Margaret, Children, Larry (Holly) Link, Luann (Rick) Glatz, Daniel Link, Janet Link, Jim (Jami) Link, Patti (Dan) Nielson, Edward Link, 8 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.
Rosary will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 12pm at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 927 Logan Ave, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80909, Services will follow at 12:30 PM on May 23, 2013, A reception follows at the Church till 2:30. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery will be held at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Divine Redeemer Catholic School or Geneva Hospice.
