Glenna Rose Brock

Glenna Rose (Moore) Brock, 84 of Colorado Springs passed away Monday, September 20, 2010. She was born March 6, 1926 in Salem, Illinois to Clarence B. and Lora A. (Cummings) Moore. Glenna married Steve Brock on February 27, 1949 in Colorado Springs. He preceded her in death in 2001.

Glenna attended Salem High School in Salem, Illinois. She was a nurse’s aide, a storekeeper, a homemaker and a raiser of kids. She was a guiding force for many of the grandchildren and for many more that were related only by the aspect that she nurtured them while growing up. She was responsible for forming the lives of many children. Glenna enjoyed reading and word search. She was a loving Grandmother that loved all of her family and extended family and will be greatly missed.

Glenna is survived by her children Eric and wife Shelley Brock, Chuck and wife Marie Brock, Doug and wife Elaine Brock, Jill and husband Peter Carsell and numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs from 6 – 8 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at 3PM Friday, September 24, 2010 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 2550 E. San Miguel St., Colorado Springs. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Cancer Society.
