Frederick Robert Bohnen

“Fred”

Beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Fred Bohnen passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2023 at the age of 38.

Fred was born on August 28, 1984. Fred grew up in Colorado Springs attending Taylor Elementary, North Middle School, and St. Mary’s High School, graduating with the class of 2003 where he was a member of the varsity golf and wrestling teams. He then attended the University of Arizona in Tucson where he graduated with a degree in economics and met the love of his life and future bride, Lauren.

Fred loved golf, finance, and most of all, his family. Fred’s grandfather introduced him to golf after moving to Mesa, Arizona and Fred soon became a regular at the Patty Jewett golf course, getting a job at the Patty Jewett bar and grill until he went off to university. While at the UofA Fred became interested in Finance and turned that passion into a career. Fred and Lauren settled in the Seal Beach area of California in order to be near family and to begin one of their own. Fred was the ultimate family man and loved playing sports with his boys, planning family road trips, and creating family traditions.

Fred is survived by his loving wife, Lauren and his cherished and adoring sons Brantley, Harrison, and Duncan. He is also survived by his mother and father, Jana and Stephen Bohnen, his twin brother John (Liz), and brothers Patrick (Kaitlyn), and Mathew. In addition Fred is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as extended family.

Fred was a very kind and caring man as well as a devoted and committed husband and father. He will be greatly missed but always loved and will remain with us forever in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held for Fred at a later date.
