Frank W. MacLeod age 86 passed away April 2nd, 2011. He was born in Boston, Mass. May 1st, 1924. He served in the Navy during the 2nd World War. In the early years of marriage, Frank and Lucy settled in Greenwood Lake, New Jersey to raise their two daughters. He worked as a dye maker, until they moved to the beautiful island of Oahu, in Hawaii, where they lived for 8 years. In 1981 Colorado Springs became the home they would work and retire to. Frank was a jack of all trades, and always made himself available to lend any family, friend or neighbor a helping hand. Great-grandfather was one of his final jobs that required all of his many skills to be put to use. More often than not several at once! Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucy, and daughters Janis (Marty Wilson) Cummer and Bonnie (Peter) Zhun of Oregon, sister Priscilla of Mass., grandsons Tom St. James and Matthew Zhun, grandaughters, Kim (Bill Fautsch) Salter, Kelli (John Del Rio) Cummer, Jami (Brendan Galbreath) Kohlgraf, Abby (Dave Zoll) Wertz. Great-granddaughters Becky Salter, Sage Kohlgraf, Mollie Kohlgraf, and Mia Wertz. Great-grandson Samuel Galbreath. Nephews, Lee (Pam) Maresca, Gary (Micki) Viole, Richard (fiancé, Rosa) Viole, and Ronald (Christina) Viole, David (Frank) Cerretani, and Lee Chick. Nieces, Cathy Musk, Diana Carr, Linda Arsemault, Cindy Baczewski, Penny Morley, Becky Graves, Melissa Chick, and Patty Eustis. He was preceded in death by his mother Harriet MacLeod, father Frank H. MacLeod, sisters Irene Cerretani and Ann Graves. Brothers-in-law Fred Viole and Edward Arcaro. Son-in-law Rick Cummer. Nephews Bob Maresca and Fred Viole. Niece Debbie Arcaro. Frank was a loving husband, father, Grandfather and devoted friend. His uncanny sense of humor and love of storytelling could only be matched by his love of the Boston Red Sox, The New England Patriots, The Boston Celtics, and Fenway Park. Most of all he was a family man, and always claimed that his Lulu was, "the best thing to ever happen to him." With all my love, all my life.
