Eric Dean Garcia

Eric Dean Garcia, beloved son, brother, and uncle passed away on February 3, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Salida, Colorado on June 23, 1980, the second of three children to Leopoldo and Louise Garcia.

Eric graduated from Liberty High School in 1998. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Regis University in 2011. Eric worked for Wells Fargo for more than 15 years specializing in lending which included home equity, auto loans, underwriting, and processing.

Family and friends were important to Eric. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews and godsons, Jeremy, Nathaniel, James, and Thomas. Eric was anxiously awaiting his niece’s arrival in May 2018.

He loved the outdoors – hunting, fishing, and camping and had been a Denver Bronco fan all his life.

He leaves behind his parents, Leopoldo and Louise (Maes) Garcia, his brother Leopoldo (Jaime) B. Garcia, and sister Jennifer (Scott) Sheil-Brown and grandmother Maria S. Maes.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs. A Celebration of Life Mass is scheduled for Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 8755 Scarborough Drive, Colorado Springs. Burial will take place following the mass at Eastonville Cemetery, Black Forest, Colorado.
