Elias was treasured by his wife, Selma, and three children, Philip, Sharon (Cooper) and Mark. Their spouses, Michele, Wayne and Jeannie, respectively, together with eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, will remember him as a gentle, kind-hearted and humble man who loved the Lord and gospel music
.
He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic acts as an US Army infantry man in the Battle of Luzon (Asiatic-Pacific Theater) in 1945.
Thereafter Elias attended Bible school in Colorado Springs where he met Selma and later settled.
He was a custodian for District 11 and several local churches.
Services will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., Swan-Law Funeral Director’s Cascade Chapel. Burial will take place a Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado
