Dorothy (Dorry) Holden Bradley, 94, passed away on December 18, 2020. She was born February 28, 1926 in Madison, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1947. She met her future husband, Richard Bradley in 1946 and the two were married in 1947.
Dorothy's talents were many. She was the principal flutist in the UW Symphony Orchestra, she won the Tompkins County tennis ladies singles championship four years in a row, and she was an accomplished skier. She planned family mountain wilderness trips, rejuvenated the Faculty Club at Colorado College while Richard was dean there, and designed shirts for the Friends of the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. She read and wrote poetry, designed her own home, and was active in politics.
She is survived by her husband, Richard (of 73 years), 1 sister, 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in Colorado Springs sometime in the future when COVID is no longer an issue.
