Donna J. Tanner passed away peacefully November 23, 2018 with her husband, Albert Lubran, brother, John Tanner, and sister, Janet Branham, by her side
She was born and raised in Greeley, received BA and MA degrees from Colorado State College (now the University of Northern Colorado) and moved to Colorado Springs in 1968 where she taught elementary school for 15 years. She then switched careers to information technology and worked for several local firms including Lockheed-Martin and Hewlett-Packard, retiring in 2014 as a software tester from Jeppeson in Denver.
She enjoyed crafts such as quilting and crocheting, classical music, traveling, skiing and scuba diving.
A celebration service of her life will be held Saturday morning, December 1, 2018 at Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, beginning at 10:00 am with a light reception to follow. The subsequent interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations where she volunteered: the American Cancer Society, (local office if possible at 1445 North Union, #100, Colorado Springs, CO 80909) or Care and Share Food Bank, 2605 Preamble Point, Colorado Springs, CO 80915.
